Bio
Scarlett Ojeda is Finance Assistant with the National Policing Institute (NPI). She is a detail-oriented, talented, fast learning professional with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities. Able to devise innovative solutions to resolve business and technology challenges, she quickly and accurately meets strict deadlines while managing multiple tasks. Ms. Ojeda recently graduated with a degree in Business Finance. As a Finance Assistant, she supports the Director of Finance and Administration at NPI. Prior to joining NPI, Ms. Ojeda was the Program Coordinator and Finance Assistant for Friends of Puerto Rico, a non-profit based in Washington, D.C., which supports the economic development of the people of Puerto Rico through entrepreneurial initiatives, education, and the creation of opportunities for women and girls. She has several years of experience working in the finance field overseeing project budgets and tracking expenses, performing bookkeeping tasks, AP processing, serving as a forensic accountant intern, credit card reconciliation, working in QuickBooks and Bill.com. She is also a native Spanish speaker. She moved to the United States in 2013 to learn English and pursue her career in finance.
