Organizational Stress & Its Impact: What Your Agency Can Do

March 11, 2025 | 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Pacific

Event Overview

Law enforcement agencies play a role in shaping organizational culture and have some responsibility for implementing practices and programs that can increase officer and agency wellness while reducing unnecessary stress on officers. In this session, we will present early findings from a National Institute of Justice-supported study on the impact of organizational stress on police officers and sheriff’s deputies, their families, and their organizations. The presentation will focus on different types of stress and how to address and mitigate the adverse consequences of organizational stress using input from participating agencies about individual, supervisory, and agency-level strategies.
