Bio
Alan Hughes is a Program Manager at the National Policing Institute. Alan was born in Santiago, Chile, where he attended law school after graduating high school. This sparked his interest in criminal justice. After moving to the United States in 2016, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from George Mason University in Criminology, Law & Society with a minor in Intelligence Studies.
Before joining NPI, Alan worked as an Immigration Paralegal for a McLean, VA, law firm. In this role, he assisted attorneys and immigrants in a variety of cases before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR).
