Abstract
Our Fall 2015 issue explores practical examples of the use of crime mapping to prevent on-campus smoking problems. This issue features an article on Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) that discusses the role and significant of CPTED in crime analysis and crime mapping. Also included in this issue is an article on License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology; and a brief summary of latest software and resources available in crime analysis and crime mapping for utilizing the vast unstructured data associated with case narratives.
