Abstract
The National Policing Institute (NPI) conducted an evaluation of the Texas Health Resources (THR) Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program during a five-year (2016-2020) expansion of the program funded by the Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT). While criminal justice indicators (e.g., number of reports and convictions of sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault) were inconclusive, the THR system-wide SANE program achieved several key goals.
