Bio

Zoe Russek-Sobol, MAPP is a Senior Program Manager at the National Policing Institute where she focuses on the development and implementation of the Law Enforcement Knowledge Lab. With nearly a decade of experience in public safety, Zoe brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Prior to joining NPI, Zoe served as a key leader at the University of Chicago Crime Lab, where she successfully led large-scale research and technical assistance projects, primarily in collaboration with the Chicago Police Department. Driven by a passion for enhancing law enforcement practices, Zoe is dedicated to advancing the field through innovative research, policy development, and program management.

Furthermore, Zoe’s unique perspective is informed by her pivotal role as the leader of Axon Enterprise’s Ethics and Equity Advisory Council. In this capacity, she brought community voice and equitable practices into the product development process at one of the world’s leading public safety technology companies. Her community- and equity-focused approaches have further cemented her commitment to ensuring fair and just law enforcement practices.

Zoe holds a B.A. in Statistics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an M.A. in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.
